Presenters Bio:

The two speakers of the event will be Nicole Forster (director of 50808) and Grace Vaughey (Head of Training & Coaching).

Since 2012, Nicole has been working in social care and community development sectors in Dublin and across Ireland; primarily in homelessness, housing insecurity and mental health. Nicole’s educational background is in social work, adult education, palliative care, community development and currently she’s working towards a double major in thanatology and peace studies. As the Director of 50808, Nicole oversees the day to day running of the service and supports the Supervision team in their work. She’s passionate about palliative care, trauma, grief, anti-oppressive practice, social justice, community led engagement, every single dog in the world and swimming.

Grace has worked in adult education for over 15 years, across various industries. She is passionate about inclusive and accessible education, and lifting barriers to learning. Grace’s educational background is in psychology, education, coaching, and trauma informed care. Currently she is studying Positive Health at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. As the head of Training and Coaching at 50808, Grace leads volunteer training, quality coaching and volunteer management. She’s passionate about creativity and art as a vehicle for exploring emotion and difficult life experiences, and regularly volunteers as a creative facilitator within the mental health space. She also engages in her own creative practice in her studio in Dublin, using collage and mixed media as a way to process her own experiences of post traumatic growth.
