Presenter Bio:Fierna Kennedy has a MA in Integrative Psychotherapy from the University of Limerick and has engaged in extensive research and training in the field of eating disorders. Her personal lived experience of an eating disorder strongly influences her approach to working with clients. Having both perspectives, of client and clinician, Fierna offers a unique insight into these complex conditions. Fierna maintains a busy private practice in Limerick, specialising in working with individuals and families affected by eating disorders. She also runs workshops throughout Ireland which focus on educating frontline service providers on how best to treat those affected by eating disorders. Using creative techniques, her experiential workshops aim to help participants to understand the experiences of those living with an eating disorder and how best to tailor their approach accordingly. She is well known in media circles for her commitment to generating eating disorder awareness and for her dedication to challenging the stigma and misconceptions associated with these conditions.
