IACP 2018 Annual General Meeting

Your participation and support at the AGM is encouraged and valued as it is your main forum, as a Member of the IACP, to express your opinion and to be present when your representatives are being voted onto the Board of Directors.

The AGM is a good opportunity for you to ensure that you are fully informed of current policies, standards and activities. It is also a great opportunity to network with colleagues and fellow members.


AGM Details

Registration: 14:00 hrs
Official Opening: 15:00 hrs
Guest Speaker: 15:30 hrs
Break: 16:30 hrs
Start of AGM: 17:00 hrs - Opening, Minutes of October 2017 meeting, Company Reports, Elections, Motions, Closing. 

The AGM is for IACP Members only. 6 hours CPD points will be given to all attendees who attend the event on Friday. CPD Certificates will be emailed to all participants after the event.

Written Nominations for the Board of Directors

Nominations for the Board of the Directors must be in writing and submitted to the Company Secretary for the Board of Directors at least 35 days in advance of the meeting. The Board requests that all nominations should include a brief introductory biography of the nominee of 200 words (maximum). Nominations should be sent by post and include signatures of both the Proposer and the Seconder. Please submit nominations to the Company Secretary at the IACP office, First Floor, Marina House, 11-13 Clarence Street, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin by Monday 3rd September 2018.

Motions
Motions and Amendments to the Memorandum, Articles of Association, Byelaws and Regulations can be proposed and seconded by Accredited Members. Motions should be written and sent by post and include signatures of both the Proposer and the Seconder. All proposed motions should be accompanied by an explanation and rationale of 200 words (maximum). Please submit motions to the Company Secretary at the IACP office, First Floor, Marina House, 11-13 Clarence Street, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin by Monday 3rd September 2018.

Proxy Votes

As the business of the Annual General Meeting requires a quorum to be in attendance it is important that you consider appointing a proxy, if you cannot attend the meeting itself. The details on the appointment of proxies will be sent out with the AGM Booklet & Accounts at the end of September. 

Guest Speaker
This years guest speaker is Bronagh Starrs. Bronagh is the Founder & Director of Blackfort Adolescent Gestalt Institute and is Programme Director for the MSc Adolescent Psychotherapy in Dublin Counselling & Therapy Centre, in partnership with the University of Northampton, UK.

Social Evening
There will be a social evening after the AGM for Members, between 20:00 hrs and 22:00 hrs. The will be a Wine Reception & Hot Finger Food for those in attendance

CPD certificates will be emailed to all attendees after the AGM.
