Supervisors Forum - Surviving discontent in an age of anxiety


Presenter's Bio:

Dr Brian Conlon is an accredited supervisor with IACP and as a Priest and Healthcare Chaplain he is particularly interested in meeting people where they are at.He is passionate about authenticity and his style of rumbling with vulnerability is taken from the writings of Brené Brown whom he first heard of when he studied Chaplaincy at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.


Event Outline: 

The day will take us through Frank Tallis’s book The Act of Living: What the great psychologists can teach us about surviving discontent in an age of anxiety. (Little Brown 2021).

Dr Brian Conlon will also draw on Chris Bailey’s book How to Calm the Anxious Mind: Finding Peace and Productivity in Anxious Times (Random House 2022), Michael Rossen’s book Getting Better: Life Lessons on getting under, getting over it and getting through it (Ebury Press 2023), Daryl Van Tongeren’s book Humble: Free Yourself from the Traps of a Narcissistic World, Thomas Moore’s book Soul Therapy: The Art and Craft of Caring Conversations (Harper One 2021).


 CPD Certs will be emailed to participants after attendance at the Event 


The Zoom Link and Password for the event will be sent at least a day in advance of the Event
