Padraig O'Morain is a mindfulness teacher and counsellor who has practised mindfulness for the past 30 years. He is accredited by IACP. He has taught mindfulness to a variety of people - from accountants to search & rescue workers - in Ireland and the UK, as well as online. His books have been published in many countries and languages and his latest book Acceptance - Create change and move forward, was published this year.
Padraig aims to make mindfulness understandable and accessible to people who don't want to do lengthy meditations or who don't have the time to do so. The presenter is a mindfulness teacher and counsellor who works to make mindfulness understandable and accessible. Participants will learn about the psychology behind mindfulness and the positiev impact of mindfulness practice. The workshop will demonstrate that even people who do not wish to do mindfulness practices find the attitudes behind mindfulness very beneficial.
The workshop will provide participants with a greater understanding of the benefits of mindfulness. Participants will learn some short mindfulness practices - no long meditations – that can be used straight away in daily life and in their therapeutic practices. The workshop aims to enable participants to introduce the principles and techniques of mindfulness to clients.
