Workshop Outline:

1. The workshop will examine the essential role of self care and care awareness in the therapeutic space, drawing initially from Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

2. To examine the essence and interconnectivity of a holistic approach of care awareness inclusive of physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological and intellectual wellbeing

3. To examine the harmonious relationship needed between sleep, circadian rhythm, nutrition, and exercise to encourage and facilitate a positive and lasting outcome for ourselves and our clients

4. To look at what science and neuroscience is telling us about the self care connectivity between the brain, heart, ANS, PSNS, and the microbiome axis and how this interplays with our work as counsellors & psychotherapists
