Presenter Bio: Rosie Burrows, PhD, BACP,
SEP will facilitate this workshop. She is a Trauma Specialist, Psychotherapist, Supervisor/Coach, Trainer and Writer. With over 25 years experience of independent practice and she travels internationally offering experiential and practical learning in Complex Trauma / Relational Trauma, working with children, young people and adults and at various levels of system: individual, couple, family, group, organisation and societal. Her interest is in supporting people at all levels of system to discover their own unique embodied intuitive wisdom in transforming unresolved trauma. Rosie has a background in Gestalt and psychodynamic psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing and Neuro Affective Relational practice.
Outline: The workshop will involve practical activities that support the practitioner and in turn your clients. Experiencing embodied activities that involve exploring and integrating compromised inner and outer resources. Using a practical and intergrative embodied relational theoretical developmental framework based on an integration of relevant leading practitioners including Kepner (1995,2003) Peter Levine (2010), Larry Heller (2012), Taylor (2014), Sills and Joyce (2014), Hoskinson (unpublished), Parlett (2015) There will be consultation and live opportunities for individual, small group, large group experiential reflection with vignettes of the facilitators experience. There will also be affirmation of your unique resilience, strengths and gifts in this work and sensing and identifying your own developmental edge/growth point.
