10:00 - Setting the Context: Developments in Irish Child Protection Policy
 
10:30 - Legislative Framework
Discussing the provisions of the Criminal Justice (Withholding of Information on Offences against Children and Vulnerable Adults) Act 2012, the Children First Bill 2012 and the legal obligations created
 
11:30 - Break (Tea / Coffee Provided)
 
11:45 - Mandatory Reporting and the Therapeutic Relationship
Exploring how the impact of mandatory reporting on the therapeutic relationship with adults who have been sexually abused as children can be facilitated positively using traumatic transference and traumatic countertransference

14:00 - Managing the Disclosure Phase
Developing strategies to introduce mandatory reporting to clients at the first meeting
